Malayalam Movie Apothecary review

apothecary-malayalam-movie-review
STORY LINE: Apothecary is a very famous multi-speciality hospital in Kerala. Dr. Vijay Nambiar (Suresh Gopi) is the chief neurosurgeon. Dr. Vijay was forced by the hospital management to do drug test on his patients including Subin(Jayasoorya). What was the after effect? That is what Apothecary is all about. ABOUT MOVIE: I may call it as the best realistic movie released in 2014. The movie deals with a most criticized issue in the modern society - Drug test on humans. The movie explores how hospital managements exploit poor people and doctors to perform drug test. This movie also visualizes the serious after affect of drug test. This movie is a great messenger to both patients and doctors. ABOUT CAST: Suresh Gopi made a strong come back in the role of Dr. Vijay. His natural mannerisms is exploited to its maximum by this character. But the real show man was Jayasoorya. His looks and mannerisms was exactly as that of a patient. The other role to be mentioned, is the role of Indrans as Subin's father. One of the best performance from the veteran actor Indrans. His dialogue delivery mode is also appreciable. All other supporting roles from Asif Ali,. Abhirami, Meera Nandan, Raghavan did their best. ABOUT TECHNICAL SIDES: The man who is to be appreciated for giving this great movie is none other than the Director, Madhav Ramdasan. His talent and creativity is visible in every sequences of this movie. The background score also sounds good. Cinematography also felt good. VERDICT: A good movie with a great theme. It will not entertain you in any ways. You may feel lag while watching...But if you are a serious movie lover, You should definitely watch this. Its one of the best movies in recent times. Rating: 4/5                                                                            Author: Pramod
